A :
First letter or character in english or french, or latin alphabet.

ASCII :
American Standard Code for Information Interchange is a computer coding system of the American National Standards Institute where numeric values are substituted to characters.

Accent :
Additionnal symbols used above letters to indicate or alterate pronunciation, or distinguish various meanings of similar words

Alignment :
The positioning of the text within the page margins is called the alignment. Options are flush left, flush right, justified, or centered. In type design, the relative horizontal or vertical position of a character (or character element) with other character elements

Apex :
Point of intersection of two lines in a character

Arm :
Short segment or line, horizontal (E, F) or oblique( K)

Ascender :
Part of a lowercase letter that extends above the x-height
